Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I login / use the application?
The application will be automatically available on the Google Univeral Bar as soon as your domain administrator has made it available. Once you have logged into your google domain, you will be able to access GTrax from the "more" option at the top of the page.
2. Why are my recent changes not showing?
The information on the screen can become out of sync with the server depending on the activity you are preforming. Simply click the "refresh" button, located in the upper right of the GTrax application, to force the system to syncronize everything.
3. Can I import data from my Google Calendar?
Absolutely! Under the time tracking option you will see the "Import from Google Calendar" button. Clicking this button will pull in all the events listed in your google calendar for the day in question, simply select the events you would like to import into GTrax. The system will provide you with the opportunity to edit the imported data before it is saved in the system.
4. How do I enter an event that spans multiple days / midnight ?
GTrax tracks all time based on the 24 hour day. If you have an event to enter that spans midnight (or multiple days), simply break this event into seperate events for each day and enter them accordingly.
5. I have entered data into the system and now it is not showing.
It is crucial that you hit SAVE whenever you make an entry or change. The system will abandon all data that has not been explicitly saved by the user.
6. Can I track more then one project with GTrax / Is there a limit to the number of projects I can track ?
Gtraxs allows you to track time against as many projects as your organization requires. Furthermore, user's are given the ability to limit which projects are available to each resource.
7. Why doesn't the new project I just created appear under the time tracking option?
You most likely did not associate any resources with the project. In order for a resource to be able to track time against a project (i.e. have it appear in the drop-down) the resource must be assigned to the project in question.
8. How do I edit a project / See a project's details?
Right clicking (ctrl-click on a MAC) on the project will allow you to edit a project's details, including the assigned resources.
9. How do I edit / change a resource's details?
Right clicking (ctrl-click on a MAC) on a resource wil allow you to edit the resource's details.
10. My left navigation page is missing, how do I get it back?
Reload your browser window. This will cause the entire application to re-load and rebuilt the interface. Be sure to SAVE an un-saved data before you reload the application!
11. Why is my time entry still there after I delete it?
To delete an entry in the Time Tracker you must not only use the delete button, but save the Time Tracker screen using the save button. This will commit any changes you have made to the screen since the last save.
